Using Foremost, we are able to provide an industry best insurance policy for your Ice Castle, Yetti, Lodge, Glacier, and Big Bite fish houses. Our policies include replacement cost for the unit itself, replacement cost for you personal property, vacation liability, along with removal from the lake if it should go down.

Before you head out on your next adventure to Mille Lacs Lake, Red Lake, Lake of the Woods, Lake Minnetonka, Devils Lake, Bitter Lake, or Waubay Lake, please give us a call to review your insurance options!

Almost ALL insurance companies offer SOME type of "coverage" for ice castles. However, in my experience, the average consumer (and even some agents) hear "coverage" and assume that applies to all claims scenarios. It does NOT!!

Not all companies insure these the same way, and furthermore, not all agents within those companies even write them the same way. Getting coverage and being properly covered are two very different things.

I can write coverage on my own ice castle for $8/month, and it would be "covered" but for what? When I bought my first ice castle I spent hours on the phone with underwriters asking about different scenarios I could run into as an IC owner. Only then did I find the holes in that cheap policy, and the value in paying more for the peace of mind that ANYTHING I encounter would be covered... Does this cost more? Hell yes, it costs more!

I don't jump into these insurance/rate conversations only to quote and sell policies... I want to help educate fellow IC owners, on the ins and outs of insurance. I've talked to many people that have great coverage with other carriers, and yet some others who are with those same carriers and have terrible coverage. I've even had people who had coverage with the same company I represent, but it was written incorrectly.

Bottom line - not all polices, agents, or companies are created equal. Coverage vs. properly covered, are two very different things. I encourage every Ice Castle owner to challenge your agents/companies and their definition of "coverage". If anyone needs help on what questions to ask your agents, reach out to me and I will be glad to help you ask the right questions to figure out if you have proper coverage.
