Q: Why should I purchase life insurance for my newborn?
A: A child’s life insurance premium will never be lower than when he or she is an infant. Insuring a newborn provides coverage at a point in life before a eventual health condition could significantly raise the rate or render the individual uninsurable.
Q: I have savings, investments and assets that will cover final expenses. Why do I need life insurance in addition?
A: The difference between life insurance and other assets is that the proceeds of a life insurance policy are immediately liquid upon the death of the insured, whereas other assets may be unavailable for some time.
Q: Bottom line: Is life insurance really worth the expense? How will having it benefit my family?
A: A death in the family is a tremendously stressful event. The immediate influx of funds* can help the family by enabling them to cover lost income and expenses at a difficult time.
