I then attended college in Texas and Oklahoma, graduating from the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor’s degree in Business Finance. Believing in the future of this part of the State, I returned to the area and moved to La Junta where my wife and I have lived and enjoyed raising our four children for the past 30 years. I’m now a proud grandpa, and with my grandson living in La Junta, I am more committed than ever to making this area a great place to live and raise our children! I am the Past President of the La Junta Chamber of Commerce. For the past several years I have served on the Otero Partners, Inc. (OPI) loan committee, which is a county-sponsored economic development entity. I attend both Valley Community and Valley Cowboy Churches in the area and am a long-standing member of the La Junta Elks Club. Prior to buying this Farmers Insurance Agency, I was a respected loan officer and Vice President at two banks in the Arkansas Valley.
