- February 4, 2019Rating 1.0I was added to an existing policy without being informed that there would be additional cost to both cars being included, one of which I do not drive. The overall experience has been disappointing and I am currently looking for a new agency.Response from ChristiFebruary 4, 2019Hi Wallasse, thank you so much for your feedback. We were contacted by your girlfriend in December who requested that we add you to the policy as you were an active driver of one of the cars. When we add a new driver to an account, it will primarily affect the car the person is rated on as well as the other cars on the account, by a little. We informed Felicia of the changes in the premium that would happen to both cars, and she still instructed us to add you as a driver. We were next contacted by Maria, also a member of the household and a driver of one of the cars and your girlfriends Mother. It was then discovered that you were placed on the wrong vehicle by our service center mistakenly and per Maria's request we went back to the date you were originally added, and placed you on the correct vehicle. All premiums were rectified at that point and Maria was updated with that premium change. She also informed us that she would not be living with her daughter and that we were to "split" her into a new household by herself with her car. Maria is the Primary Insured, and can make any change that she would like. When we "split" the two cars from each other, they both lost the multiple car discount resulting in a rate increase. We called and left a voicemail for Felicia, letting her know of the requested change by Maria and that her premium would be increasing and to give us a call back so we could discuss the situation with her. All changes in premium were conveyed to either Felicia at the time of adding you or Maria, when she requested to split out of the household and drivers were updated . And we further attempted to notify Felicia of the change due to the split. It appears that we may have too many people in the household requesting changes and not communicating to one another when they are speaking to us at our agency. I can fully understand how that could be frustrating.
